Job Description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a broadly-trained psychologist who can teach a variety of courses including but not limited to Research, History and Systems, and Introductory Psychology. Other areas of interest will also be considered. Responsibilities will include mentoring student research, academic advisement, and university services. This is a faculty position, tenure track. Start date – August 2018.

Essential Duties Summary

Responsibilities

  • Successful applicants will be part of a cohesive team of faculty that works closely with students as advisors and mentors in our undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Candidates will also engage in service to the university and community.
  • Assist in recruitment of faculty and students.
  • Attend convocations and graduations as requested.

Reporting Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the School of Arts and Sciences reporting directly to the Chairperson, Department of Psychology.
Required Qualifications

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should have a doctorate in psychology with a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and research.
  • The expected teaching load for the position is 24 credits per academic year.
  • Although a doctorate is required, ABD candidates who are near degree completion will be considered.
  • Applicants must be willing to teach online, if needed.
