Job Description

SUMMARY

We are activity seeking MML instructors for Spring 2018 classes at the Jackson, Brembo, Flint, and Southfield locations. Teaching assignment will be primarily with adult students in the MBA program and/or MML program based on qualifications. The graduate business courses are delivered over a 7-week term and course assignment are made on a term to term basis. Employment is considered part time/temporary.

Essential Duties Summary

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate effectively with students through our Learning Management System, Blackboard.
  • Demonstrate computer expertise with MS Office including word processing skills and spreadsheet skills.
  • Prioritize, complete multiple tasks, and possess good interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and APA writing skills. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Expected to be present in Blackboard via announcements, grade book, and feedback to students (required for both online and hybrid delivery graduate business programs).
  • Grade assignments within 72 hours of assignment due date.
  • Respond to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Terminal Degree (PhD, DBA, etc.) in business administration, management, organizational leadership, or closely related field.
  • 18 graduate hours in specific discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of college teaching experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of graduate business teaching experience.
  • Recent professional business management or organizational leadership experience preferred.
  • Professional certifications a plus.
  • Track record of teaching excellence, research, and/or professional community service a plus.
